Stackable Silver Rings for Fashion-Antique Art Deco Diamond Snake Ring Dated 1920

Title Default Title
Qty:

A grand antique serpent ring from the early 20th Century depicting a beautiful, coiled snake crowned with five graduating old European cut diamonds chasing down the head with superb SI 1 clarity – H colour (approx. 0.30ct total).

Serpent rings became increasingly popular in the Victorian era after Prince Albert gifted the young Queen Victoria with a serpent ring during their courtship. The snake came to symbolise an enduring love and friendship with its coiled shape representing eternity.

The piece is all 18ct gold with a thick, coiled band that has developed a lovely smoothness and patina over time. It looks wonderful wrapped around the finger and is complete with London hallmarks within, dating it to 1920.
